Otra razón por lo cual Walmart dominará el mundo:
En cuanto a los DVD, el caso es aún más extremo. Wal-Mart, que vende un tercio de todos los DVDs de USA, puede predecir las ventas de un tÃtulo en las primeras 4 horas. De hecho, ocurre lo siguiente: las tiendas de Wal-Mart en la costa este abren un martes por la mañana y comienzan a vender el nuevo DVD. 4 horas más tarde, cuando los directivos del estudio correspondiente llegan a su oficina en California, ya saben como funcionará la pelÃcula, y tienen en su mesa un mensaje de Wal-Mart: o bien sus camiones están cargando los DVDs para devolverlos porque no se venderán, o bien es un pedido adicional urgente para más unidades. Eso si que es presión...
